Technically speaking, Quixtar and Amway are sister companies now, thinking that will change. Alticor, the parent company, Quixtar launched as an Internet business in 1999 and helped Amway distributors, Independent Business Owners name (PCI), to transfer to Quixtar if they so wished. After several years almost all of Amway IBO opted to transfer to Quixtar, Amway has been closed to North America. Amway continued to operate in 80 countries around the world weird. With Global Amway affiliates and all Internet model adopted during the last decade, there is little difference between the model of Quixtar Amway North America and the rest the world, and Quixtar has recently announced that next year, to relive the Amway name in North America and the phase called Quixtar and operational worldwide under a single name.
